As we discussed, QF will be installing new 'economy plus' seats onboard all of its B 747-400s. And they are upgrading some of their B 747-400s. When will this be done? I suppose they did not upgrade the 4 that will soon be in storage right?

From what I heard Air India has upgraded its B 747-400s not long ago too. Why are they retiring them so soon?

VH-OEC has, in fact, been upgraded to 4 class only to be removed from the fleet so soon.

Same can be said for 763 VH-OGD that was recently retired. This was the first aircraft in the new livery and to sport the new interior/seat fabrics.

Are QF going ahead and installing premium economy seats on their current two class 744s?

I'm with EK 413 on this. Where did you hear about this? Are you sure you are not confusing QF with NZ who announced the economy sleeper seats? QF already have Y+ on the 744 fleet with the exception of the current 2 class 744s.

According to http://www.icns.com.au/qflyer/qantas.html , these 2 class aircraft will become 56J 39W 275Y.

Will these B 747-400s return to service?

Maybe I remembered wrong. But are they doing something to their B 747-400s? And what are that?
