Continental's 777s are all one configuration, with BusinessFirst and PTV's throughout, so enjoy your flight on one of the greatest aircraft ever built.

ok, I've been on the 777 twice, once in coach, once in bizfirst. Coach was not bad. As you already know every seat has its own PTV on the seat back of the chair in front of it. Got your choice of movies and games. People have said that its a little roomier than most other planes but to me it was no difference.
Now, Bizfirst..that was awesome!!!!!! The seat is like a lazy boy that you have in your house. I loved it. You will definitely be comfortable that's for sure.
Both the times I flew on the 777 was EWR-IAH so i can't say how the INTL service is, sorry. When I get my A & P licences and transfer over to MX, maybe 777gk will let me jumpseat on his flights!  Big grin hehee

For any airline who has 777s, they're all the same. The PTVs are there, for any flight that's a 777.The screens are always there, domestic or international. Yes, there are personal channels. You can watch, or do, anything you want when you want.

For anyone who has a magazine subscription to AIRWAYS, in the new June 2001 issue there is a story on Continental's non-stop 777-200ER service between EWR & HKG.

All 16 Continental 777's are in the same, two class configuration, with BizFirst and Economy. The cabin
is laid out in 2-2-2 in BF and 3-3-3 in coach. The
comfort level in coach is decent. Legroom is a little
more generous than most carriers. Seat pitch is the
standard.

Continental does not really operate 777's on dom.
flights, with the exception of one or two IAH to
EWR rotations. These planes work hard over the
Atlantic to Europe and Israel, and over the pole,
to Tokyo and Hong Kong.

Well that's not correct for example

UA has two different configs, one with PTVs for international and with 3 classes of service, one without PTVs and only 2 classes for domestic flights

BA Also has different configs, one that is 3x3x3 in econonmy, and one that is 3x4x3

Also, some airlines have 2-5-2 economy, while others have 3-3-3. Which is better? Who knows. The 3-4-3 high denisity arrangements used on some of the BA aircraft flying to tourist destinations is likely to be a bit uncomfortable, and I think that TG also has 3-4-3 on its 772s but not 773s, odd. CO has 3-3-3 economy as mentioned.

CO 777 Business First is really very, very good. Hope that you get upgraded and can enjoy it.

i think the 3-3-3 is much better than the 2-5-2.. thats my opion...and if your going to BDL from PHX you should just go thru ORD and only make 1 connection....thats horrible on CO sounds like SW

yeah, all those stops do sound awful. Couldnt you just go PHX-EWR-BDL? Although, I guess flying on a 777 makes all the stops worthwhile  Big grin

I only fly on NW, HP and CO. I can fly non stop HP PHX-BDL but I prefer CO service. I can slo have one stop through IAH,CLE, or EWR but the reason for 2 stops is because I wanted to get on a 777, reason for the PHX-IAH-EWR-BDL route I chose for only $202 USD. Not bad for a good amount of aircraft and airport visits. I am not one to care how many stops I have, I prefer to make more than one route just so I can get more segments in my elite status (which I am lacking now) and also get to fly on more a/c types and see more airports. I have never been to IAH or been on a 777 so this trip should be fun. Now, you say I can make one stop through ORD? Why would I want to go through ORD on UAL when I could do one stop on many more airlines through less crowded airports like CLE on CO, CMH on HP, ect..... Just my oppinion.... Thanks for all the coments though guys!
