US Airways Paint Update?

May be easier to show old paint, looking for both mainline and express.

A couple things to remember:

1. Initially, US' repaints focused on the HP (US-West) birds first. Since ALL the A321s from US' fleet (until some recent deliveries), are from the East side of US (aka Old US); the repainting of these planes started later and is still ongoing. Note: there are also still some A319s & A320s around in the old US scheme in addition to some A321s.

2. All the widebodies and Boeing planes have been repainted in the current scheme for some time.

At present, there are 5 A319s that sport what US calls Heritage Schemes:
1. One in AL's wedge scheme.
2. One in PSA's final scheme.
3. One in PI's scheme (with the A319 text written in Boeing font).
4. One in HP's final scheme.
5. One in HP's original scheme.

Personally, I'm not aware of any plans of US offering any more Heritage schemes including US' last scheme pre-HP merger; but never say never... the 5th plane in HP's original colors was pondered later came about after the other 4.

Actually, most it not all of the PSA CRJs and CR7s are in the new colors. I believe 1 or 2 of the Chautauqua ERJs have been repainted as well.

Thanks, I am very well aware of those schemes; PHL is my home airport. Big grin

I only mentioned the Heritage schemes because UsAirways16bwi earlier comments focused on the possibility of US applying other past/heritage schemes.

Thanks for the update. I wasn't sure about the CR7s since those aren't usually at PHL.

No, only 838 is the only one. All of the heritage planes are A319s.

And those are definitely east birds.

All the 170s are not in the old US.

You only quoted part of my sentence which contained a key quantifier, shown in BOLD below:

In retrospect, I should have added the word other to my sentence.

Sorry for any confusion.

Note: at present, the only E-jets wearing US Express' current scheme are the slightly longer E-175s flown by Republic.

I've yet to see in person myself either, but it must be floating around there somewhere.

The last Mainline aircraft to be sprayed was 276 last November. Painting has completely ceased for Mainline since then. I've heard talk of a few more 321s being up for paint this Winter and Early 2010 pending economic conditions of course.
