Garuda has repainted its first 744 in their new livery. Due to the large tail this design looks much better on the 744 than on the other aircraft, although the new livery still fails to excite me. Typeface, logo and tail graphics dont go well together.

I like it, your right there is more impact with the larger tail, just a shame they couldn't have add a bit more colour further forward on the nose or engines or something maybe a bit of a swoosh like NZ's pacific wave I don't know. Still a nice fresh change!
Have they done anything to update the interior at all?
When will the new uniforms begin to be worn their current ones are the most hidious out there especially the lime green the girls have.
Seems like a rather new and impressive GA wil come out of this refresh if the hype is to be believed.

Looks fairly anonymous to me. A pity, the Garuda logo on the tail was beautiful. The fuselage could've done with a spruce up, but instead they concentrated on diluting their one strength in branding, while by and large sticking with the white fuselage. And the placement of the titling is all off - needs to be much further forward.

Definitely better with 777way's modifications. The tail looks OK to me, but I can't think why the titles were placed where they have them, unless the 747 is too long for the paint booth and they couldn't be bothered turning it around to get the titles closer to the front.
Give me a mile of road and I can take you a mile. Give me a mile of runway and I can show you the world.

Quoting 777way (Reply 7): Modified with title and logo and flag moved forward, maybe they could have also done an Egyptair sized logo and title.
could you please (if possible) modify the photo, and start the sweep of the tail colors (blue/light blue) from the nose wheel following a graceful curve that goes over the top of the wings leading edge/fairing and continues upwards merging with the vertical stablizer angle of rise ?
I know it will look good, really really good like real bird, but just can't get a jpeg editor handy at this moment. (Think of a real bird's features!)

I really like the tail, and think the titles are great, if not a little unimaginative. Obviously, we'd all like an amazing special colourful livery, such as the Wunala Dreaming (spelling?) from QF or the special MH liveries for their 777 and 747. But paint costs (a lot of) money. Prob best spending more on the inflight experience and mx!
