Wasn't there a thread some time ago about OK sending their A310's to Miami? I know they operated several charter flights in the last couple of years to the Carribean.

Quoting Planenutz (Thread starter): Since Czech discontinued trans-atlantic services, are the A310's still in their fleet? If so, are they being utilized at all?
Will be used on non-scheduled flights to Varadero, Porlamar, La Romana and other destinations in Egypt, El Salvador, Tunisia and Greece.

That sounds about right. I believe they use SNN as a refueling stop, since the A310 doesn't have the legs to operated to the Caribbean non-stop full of passengers from PRG with a headwind on top of that.

I flew on one of them about 5 years ago. JFK-PRG and back. It was the most uncomfortable TATL flight I have ever been on. Turn em into beer cans!

It has to do with cabin comfort and not aircraft type. I've flown the 310 across the pond several times also, and its not nearly as bad as you describe it. The A310 is a workhorse. TS for example loves them. They will still be around for a few more years.
