Sorry if this has been posted already but a search didn't bring this up.

On BBC, Jeremy Clarkson hosted a show called "Inventions that Changed the World".

Among other things, he spoke of the gun, the computer, the telephone and the television. He also spoke of the Jet.

Here are the links, in order, to the five 10-minute clips. It's a bit dated, filmed in 2004 but great nonetheless.


I love his dry, even sardonic, sense of humour.

I hate to laugh at another's misfortune, but: "We've just climbed 17,000 feet in 11 seconds. I feel ill again. No it's no good- I'm going to be sick again. Sorry."
