On BBC, Jeremy Clarkson hosted a show called "Inventions that Changed the World".
Among other things, he spoke of the gun, the computer, the telephone and the television. He also spoke of the Jet.

I love his dry, even sardonic, sense of humour.
I hate to laugh at another's misfortune, but: "We've just climbed 17,000 feet in 11 seconds. I feel ill again. No it's no good- I'm going to be sick again. Sorry."
