Does anyone know why there was a Gulf Air A340 in Sydney today?
It was parked in the parking bay next to the regulars, British Airways & V Australia this morning.

it appears that it may have been a refuelling stop on the way to WLG

The Gulf Air brought in the Bahrain national soccer team for a few days acclimatisation before heading off to play New Zealand.

Wow...the plane was able to land on the WLG runway??? Thought it was too big. Would love to see any pictures of the aircraft in WLG.

It arrived in Sydney on monday & departed to NZL today,Should arrive back in Sydney I believe on sunday prior to returning back to Bahrain.
