This is a MOU only according to Airbus. Still, beats no orders...

There are those who think it's tantamount to cheating but I rather like the way that Airbus pump out the orders during major air shows. Who cares if they 'save them up' in advance? They always maximize the 'buzz' around their orders. Clever PR, I'd say.

Nice little pleasant surprise....

Not long ago; after the crash they were bashing Airbus openly and had even threatened that they will never do business with Airbus.

...even threatened that they will never do business with Airbus.

...and then they realized they would cut them selves out of their most important market so they decided the other way.

Very surprising order , as they are a 738 user !!
Do not know how much they will pay for these a320s , but was it useful to buy another narrow body type for a small fleet as they have ?
Will they phase out the 738s ?

But everyone is aware of Airbus' PR methods. Clever or effective? Probably not.
