Was just dicking around wikipedia tonight and I discovered this paragraph regarding Denny's Restaurants....
"Denny's headquarters were located in Irvine, California, until 1991. At that time, the main office was moved to the Spartanburg, South Carolina, headquarters of the parent company Trans World Corporation (TW Corporation) that acquired Denny's in 1987. In 1992, private equity firm, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts acquired a 47% interest in TW Corporation, later known as The Flagstar Companies, and encouraged the company to sell non-core businesses.[2] Eventually, Denny's operations dominated the parent company to such an extent that The Flagstar Companies changed its name again to Denny's Corporation"
Does anyone remember this? I had no idea of the relationship between the TW corporation and Flagstar because it was a business relationship that just seemed to dissipate come the 1990s. Were there special internal promotions between the employees at either Denny's or TWA during this time or 'perks' if you will? Were Denny's added to TWA terminal areas as a result of the stake?

Airline was spun off from the TW Corp in 1983, so was unrelated to the restaurant.

Quoting RP TPA (Reply 4): Too bad the airline and restaurant werent together. On their Miami flights that served breakfast, TWA could have offered 'moons over my-hammy".
Yeah I was wondering if there was some sort of overlap with like eat at Denny's 'X' amount of times and win a round trip flight on TWA or something...
