With CO just joining *Alliance what would be the impact to Latin American routes?. Any new cities served? IAH becoming head on competition to AA's DFW hub? Furthermore I cannot help to wonder about CO's good'ole buddy United and its slim operation (As far as destination cities) in the region. What would be the degree of cooperation/ integration?

With respect to the services out of MIA and heading to Latin America on Star Alliance, the recent entry of CO in that group probably won't vary this fact, regarding how JJ and TA are sustaining healthy operations to selected stations in Latin America on behalf of UA.
TAM would join to Star Alliance most likely next year and GRUPO TACA is a potential member for the same global association.
