Wondering why some airlines are putting the F into the upper deck... OK, it might give you the feeling of "luxury", but the main deck is much more spacy.
What is LH going to do if they feel the need of putting less C seats into the aircraft? This configuration does not seem to be very flexible. Will all of the 15 ordered aircraft have this configuration?

Probably a combination of privacy and the fact that for facilities with dual-level jetbridges, you can board and disembark your premium cabin customers independent of Economy.
This could be a serious benefit for arrivals, as you could keep the main deck doors closed until the upper deck has disembarked and made their way to Customs & Immigration. And before people scream "unfair", I have witnessed SQ and UA block Business Class from exiting until First Class exited and then blocked Economy from exiting until Business Class cleared out. As an F pax, I appreciated the "clear shot" it granted me.

Are the F and C seats the same as on the current fleet, or have they been redesigned?
Even though the F class on EK is bigger, it still appears that LH's configuration is considerably denser, and there's two extra rows of Y on the main deck.

Y may not be any denser then EKs is remember that EK has a rather large crew rest on the in the back of the main cabin. If LH put theirs in the cargo hold that could explain where the extra 21 seats fit in.

Do you know how they control exiting passengers out of A380? In case of EK, do they close doors in 1st floor until 2nd floor F/C passengers all out? How SQ does? Those seating rear part of upper deck C passengers come out later than Y at front lower deck?
Some airlines in 747 (esp. 747 combi) does not do something special, so upper deck C passengers sometimes deboard later than some of Y passengers.

What will happen when the A380 will be parked at the gate with no dual-level jetbridges ? That will happen, for sure, and more often than most people think ...
I already saw the SQ A380 at CDG 1 with only one single jetway serving door 2 on the main deck ...

100% agree.
Having ALL the premium classes on the same deck, and moreover at the upper is not flexible at all if LH wants in the future to modify its configuration...

I guess you both mean a potential increase in premium classes capacity. Indeed, that may be hard to do. But, if they want to add more Y+ or Y seats at the expense of C seats, the back of the C cabin can be used for that, creating a small Y cabin, with 8 abreast vs 10 on the lower deck, and they could accomodate the highest Y fares and/or elite FF there. Honestly, if LH wants to change anything to their proposed configuration once it is in service, i doubt it will be for more F or C, but rather for less of these and more Y+ or Y.

I guess you can count in an hour until you can leave the plane when you are sitting in one of the last rows and when just one jetway is in use. Must be a pain in the ass, especially after a scheduled flight time of 13 hours and 45 minutes through the night from SIN.

My only A380 experiences have been on SQ and there they block the aisles to allow those of us in Suites Class to deplane. I've seen them do the same on the 744 and 77W for First Class.
Quoting FlySSC (Reply 11): What will happen when the A380 will be parked at the gate with no dual-level jetbridges?
It will likely depend on the carrier. Some will block the aisles to allow premium cabin customers to disembark and some will just throw the door(s) open and let the crowds rush out.

On EK it is done exactly like that, the main deck doors get open only after the F/C passengers left the plane from 2nd floor

I highly doubt that upper deck will ever be used for more Y seats, as 420 is quite substantial number. I would guess LH will rather use it for Y+ that is still contemplating with and anyway all upper deck floor space will be required once the new C class is introduced.
Quoting DLH405heavy (Reply 17): As far as I know there will be a new F and C class
I highly doubt that too . For sure a new F class will be introduced, and improved current C class.
The new C class has been already developed but as far as i know it could only be introduced. with aircraft No.7 due to design freeze issues. As we know aircraft was suppose to be originally deliverd to LH in 2007. and seats had to be ordered prior to that. Aircraft No.7 is
D-AIMG and should be deliverd together with D-AIMH on 30.04.2011. according to latest schedule. But I think LH will opt to introduce the new C class with B747-8 for publicity purposes unless it is even further delayed.
On A380 LH will also have some "firsts" in terms of cabin comfort and convinience and Y class
will be new seats with Panasonic's eX2 AVOD.

And what happens if i just go through as an Economy Class passenger. I think they can't do anything. And as the plane is on ground and disembarking, this is not "putting air traffic" in danger. So nothing will happen, i guess. What do you think on this?

Why? If they want less C and more Y seats, they take the last C rows out and fill with Y seats. SQ has Y seats on the rear upper deck as well...

I know that. AF has also a Y Cass at the upper deck.

The "Classic" Y config at the upper deck is 2x4x2.
If LH wants more Y seats, that would mean just 5 or 6 rows of a Y cabin (around 50 seats ) at the upper deck behind a huge Premium cabin (F + J). It won't just be very easy to organize work on board for the crew ... I see that with my F/A "eye" ...
