Those OpenSkies birds are all over the place. G-BPEK was parked at GIG's cargo terminal two weeks ago.

www.flightstats.com is showing BA34 departing Miami tonight for London at 8.57pm, status unknown, and not giving an aircraft type... maybe that is it... but no clue who is onboard! BA's website doesn't mention such a flight number.

Flight 300 came through Bangor, Maine today on its flight between Munich and Miami. This was an OpenSkies 757, according to FlightAware.

BA's 208 flight to LHR departed at 20:57. Arrived LHR 10:45

It's all business product and it's smaller 757 a/c have seen them carve out quite a good client base in the longhaul private charter business. Usually using the 2 ex BA 757 aircraft which are configured 24 beds and 40 seats.

This increased business is expected to see EC for the first time break even or even make a profit in this FY. So maybe BA will not be getting rid of this subsidary after all.

Openskies maintance is usually done at LHR(BA engineering) or FRA (CCT Hanger). The only reason I can think for mx in ATL is if for some reason the aircraft was unable to comply with ETOP's

That is unless they have changed their mx contract in the last few weeks.

Yep, both are tied together BTW. Audi is major sponsor of art Basel this year! Audi has brought in some 200 audis that will be all over South Beach!!!! Interesting sight for sure. Also, arrived at MIA today and Audi signs are everywhere!

.

Must be planning on staying a few days in MIA if they're going to ABMB...not 'til the 3rd. Damn that new A8 is ugly...looks like a bloated A4/Volvo S80 love-spawn...terrible evolution of the last few models.

oh boy!!!

Before L'Avion was bought out by BA, they already had a maintenance contract with Delta TechOps. The L'Avion 752s have Pratt & Whitney engines while the Open Skies 752s that came from the BA fleet have Rolls Royce engines. I'm guessing that BA's MX doesn't work on the P&Ws and it's cheaper to just continue to use Delta TechOps to work on those engines.
