Here we go... Another field for FR - W6 competition  Smile I'm sure its not the end. They are not basing an aircraft there yet. Turku for example will be served by GDN machine.

Quoting Migajos (Reply 1):

But no direct route duplication, though.

W6: LTN-RIX; FR: STN-RIX, EMA-RIX
W6: TRF-RIX, FR: RYG-RIX
W6: RIX-RUR, FR: RIX-TMP (BT flies RIX-TUR, but uses terminal 1)

It's interesting to see that W6 will be using Turku's Low-cost terminal (Terminal 2). I saw a picture of this terminal, it seems like a revamped old shed:

Can anyone tell more about this terminal? Is it in use for a long time already, or is it just in use as a terminal since recently?

Typically, whenever an airport opens such a low-cost terminal, FR starts operations pretty soon. But so far, it's only W6 using the terminal.

I think we won't wait long till FR opens 2-3 weekly link from Turku to Stansted.

Probably Riga will be served by some Polish bases. The timetable indicates that it will be GDN.
Wizzair should receive few new A320's in 2010. Who knows, maybe one or two will go to Belgrade. Serbian capital seems to be fitting the current Wizzairs base network policy. However, they might also concentrate on eveloping existing bases. There is stil so big demand on new routes in WAW, WRO, BUH, SOF etc...
