Quoting Pe@rson (Thread starter): Did NWI used to be a base? I can't remember. If it did, how many aircraft were based there? And which routes that aren't now operated?
Yes, NWI was a base between mid 2004 and early 2008 or so. NWI-AMS is one the routes that was discontinued.

Yes, it used to be a base. I've no idea about which aircraft were based there but I do remember seeing cabin crew advertisements in the local press.
Cancelled routes included AMS (in direct competition with KL), GLA, DUB, CDG.
CDG was direct, then operated as a tag on the JER flight, before being axed. DUB was famous for the hiring of actors to be "fake passengers" to make up numbers. Shame as I was booked on the last ever NWI-DUB flight before the cut was brought forward a month

There were at least 2 aircraft to operate double daily MAN and EDI on weekdays. These aircraft where switched to MAN/EDI respectively
In addition to the former routes already mentioned, Malaga, Alicante, Belfast City, Chambery and I think Bordeaux where also served at some point during NWI's period as a base for BE. NWI-ABZ was also announced but never started
