I prefer the current c/s over the concept by LilaDesign.

I like the current dark blue livery,

altough I prefer by far the colourful livery shortly used some years ago,

and I found genial the adaptation they made from the LOT logo on their leased 737 some years ago, painting the L withe and adding a dash and a reverse bar below the T so it became OA.

Should Olympic ever change livery, it should be the three-color one, or another using the light blue of the Greek flag

A new livery should not come alone. Usually this happens when something major occurs, ie, new fleet, new management, new routes, etc.

True, OA's livery has outlived it's usefulness. Although it has evolved since the 80's, first with the "colorful" stripes and then with the wide blue cheatline -the current scheme-, it is still the same one, as it the airline itself: State-run, Rock-bottom morale, No alliances, Old fleet (with the lucky exception of the 343s).

If and when privatization happens, and if and when the 732's go with new generation aircraft (I have doubts that the GECAS 737 NG lease agreement will go through, since it was supposed to start in June and we have no word yet), then, in anticipation of the 2004 Olympics, it is a good opportunity for OA to adapt a new livery.

But we should not forget Justinian's Script:

I think that the Olympic Airways c/s pictured above looks very great. I hope they will change to something like that in the future.

I love the current livery...they should not change. It is one of those designs that is classic throughout the changing times  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Although I am for the experimental change of the scheme, I dont think that someone has been inspired enough to show something that will be worth. A 2004 Olympics special c/s would be nice.

I really like the current scheme, especially on the A340s. I agree that it would be cool to have a special scheme for the Olympics...

I designed one on one of my free hand drawings of an A340-300. The tail design was relatively the same, but a darker blue, no cheatline on the fuselage, slightly larger "Olympic" titles, and the little flag looking sign they have was a little larger too.

I'm not sure if OA have enough $$ to think about that...

And... where is that? Can we see it?
