Gulf Air Old Title Style

I see some of GFs aircraft especially the A320 are still sporting the old style titling shown below, why is this Confused

Good question airmale.

When the A320's and 767's were delivered in the early 90's, the airline was still operating the Tristar.

The Tristar had old titles like the one above, but the only difference was that it was in gold. Like this one:

Coming to the question. I think it was done so that it blended in with the Tristar fleet by painting old titles.

As far I know the 767 with the old title is:


Funny enough it still exists today, with the old titles !
