could someone please tell in which part of the aircraft are passengers seated on a 747-200 combi.

Is it at the back, front middle ?

Does this effect the overall inflight experience ?

This might be the one I'm flying:

The freight is in the rear of the cabin.

According to some reliable sources combi-flights ( cargo/pax) are no longer allowed after the South African (SAA) crash - at least not any more at LH.

Being a professor, I couldn't understand how you could be so immature and sarcastic in your answers.

Maybe you shouldn't trade in 2 usernames

On seats on top deck, and front and centre of bottom deck. Thought it was a -300 from MAN on PIA now anyway?

To visualize it from the outside, the cargo basically is placed between the last door and the door that proceeds it.

At one time, Atalia had a combi 747 that carried up to 13 pallets. The last half of the 747 carried all cargo. I don't know if they still have this configuration or not though.

there are 5 passenger doors on each side of the 747. The main deck cargo door is situated about 6 feet behind the number 4 passesenger door. In most cases the main deck freight will sit in that area between number 4 adn 5 passenger doors. there is of course a large next from floor to ceiling to prevent any pallets from sliding into the cabin in turbulant flight. From the passenger point of view there is just a wall at the back of the cabin with maybe a lav on each side of the plane back there. There really isn't a huge noticable difference for the passenger.

The passengers sit in the front and the middle, the caro is in the back. It is strange, the plane feels much smaller than it is inside. Wide and short instead of wide and long.

The Front as well as the Center. The rear part is for cargo.

Oh well, just ignore me then. What flights do PIA use the -300 on from MAN anyway?
