As BA replaces the Avro fleet with the Embraer E-jets I was wondering if there is /will be any IFE or Air Display? I haven't seen any reference to it although photos confirm there are no seat back TVs. Is it possible to have drop down TVs on these A/C and if so, do the BA fleet have them?

Think about it. How far does the avro fleet actually go? They don't really need it. Besides, BA's 737's and A32X's don't have seat-back IFE either. Unless they have plans to reconfigure their entire short haul fleet, which I don't see happening, they will have the overhead. Regards,
BA's E jets don't have the overheads because they are more or less a straight swap for the Avro's, they operate the LCY runs primarily and the type of pax who fly them are too engulfed in the FT or work to be concerned with the IFE, plus the flight durations are short just quick hops over to CDG for the most part it just isn't necessary and not cost effective.
The e jets could be fit with whatever the airline that is paying millions for them needs, e.g. BA don't want IFE so don't have it, B6 wants PTV's with AVOD and satellite TV and gets it!
Quoting Tonystan (Reply 3): A small handful of Airbus aircraft have overhead screens!
Only the 5 remaining G-BUSx A320's are without drop down overhead screens......all other A320s, A319s & A321's are equipped with them for moving map/safety demo/arrivals info. The first 10 A320's in the G-EUUx series also have headphone sockets for main screen IFE & this is used on flights to DME, ATH, IST & LCA.
