Just picking an arbitrary date in March (obviously it can vary) it looks like this
ATL - 3x CR9 (1x each OO EV 9E) 2x MD88 and 1x 752 (that one surprised me)
CVG - 3x ER4 (Freedom) and 2x CR9 (OH)
JFK - 4x CR9 (OH)
SLC - 4x CR9 (OO)
MSP - 3x CR9 (XJ) 1x D93 2x D95 2x A319 (Will likely be switched out with MD80/90s at some point)
DTW - 3x CR9 (XJ) 2x D93 2x D95
MEM - 1x CR9 (XJ) 2x D95
MDW also has the following
ATL - 3x CR9 (2x EV 1x 9E) 3x E75 (S5) 2x MD90
LGA - 9x E75 (S5)
MSP - 1x CR9 (XJ) 7x E75 (CP) (I guess instead of switching the current Airbus to MDs, they're going to almost all EJets)
DTW - 6x CRJ (4x 9E 1x OH 1x XJ) (Serious downgrade, they have been getting at least CR7s)

Quoting Joeljack (Reply 3): What are they dropping MSP, DTW, and MEM??? Just Kidding!
SLC 3x daily 2x CR9 1x M90 also a 6x weekly CR9(no Sat)
JFK: 3x daily CR9 5x weekly CR9 (no Thru/Sun)
I'm surprised about the # of CR9s on the ATL route. I thought this would be nearly all M88s. This would be a good route for mainline E90/95s if DL were to get them.
Is there a chance we'll see SLC go 319s vs the CR9s when the Airbuses start making the transition from MSP to SLC? US's PHX-ORD are all operated with 320s and on a couple of those flights they could easily fly it with a 321 and fill it to capacity .

I would say that if SLC has mainline now it will have mainline post 32S/M90 swap.

Agreed, if they see room for at least a seasonal M90 now, there's no reason it wouldn't transfer over to a 319 or 320 in the future.

It's not as straightforward of a comparison as it might seem. SLC-ORD is not as large as PHX-ORD on O&D, not to mention that PHX-ORD is a significant hub-to-hub flight for Star Alliance carriers US and UA. Given the void they have in the middle of the country, US funnels quite a few passengers from PHX onto UA at ORD. DL doesn't get the same flow out of an SLC-ORD flight.

DL does a lot of dummy schedules for months in advance. I would assume the summer schedules will change a bit before the actual date. I notice EWR gets played around a lot once the date gets closer.

Thanks for the info. What made me wonder was the thread about the last freighter flight into ORD and I wondered what kind of equipment they would have, going forward to haul freight on. It's all belly freight, now and with the schedules and equipment you've given me, doesn't look like alot of lift.

it may be better to ship it via truck to MSP or DTW to get it on to a 744.

Thanks for the information Steex. I was wondering what the differences were and they are remarkable. Still, it would be nice to see DL upgauge ORD-SLC to 319s on the flights that operate ont he CR9s or at least half of them. This is another route that would do well with E90/95s.

The DL cargo operation had a very successful trucking operation going to JFK, with int'l. cargo. Maybe your suggestion would work, too.

No 738s? At least to ATL or SLC? I'm surprised at that!
