Does anyone know if the old Frontier Airlines ever had regularly scheduled 737 service to Fayetteville, AR (FYV, Drake Field)? I found this web page showing a scan of the Frontier timetable of March 2, 1977, which shows one 737 flight from FYV to Fort Smith, continuing to Dallas but with an equipment change in FSM, except on Sundays, when there is no equipment change. Here is the link: http://www.departedflights.com/FL030277p24.html . Another page shows one 737 flight from Dallas nonstop to FYV: http://www.departedflights.com/FL030277p12.html . I had thought that Frontier never scheduled jets to Drake Field. I was attending the University of Arkansas shortly before this timetable was published, and I used to see the Frontier Convair 580s all the time, but I never saw a 737. Anyone know for sure?

On the back page of the timetable, it says the CV580's were in the 500-600 range and the 737s are in bold. I like that 18 minute block to block time FYV-Fort Smith.
There is a Flight 40 operating FSM-LIT at 0737, so maybe that's where Flight 27 FYV-FSM arriving at 0700 turned.
It's not unusual for an airline to tag on mainline equipment to an out station in the late pm, early am, as the equipment time is free.
