It appears Flight Aware has made an error.

A flight plan for today, Jan 1, (five hours) has been removed.

I thought it was strange to schedule a test flight on New Year's Day.

They'll probably be back up tomorrow, I would guess, weather permitting of course.

It's been just awesome to have seen here fly these last few days. Every day they have been doing touch and goes at PAE. I get a great view from the flight deck of the -8

We should probably create a master 787 Flight Test Tracking thread, since the birds are going to be up a great deal...

It says that the plane landed two days ago. It looks like that that same link/map was in another thread for two day ago.

Me too. I think we should have a flight test master thread, but still allow for individual threads for first flight of 3-6 as well as first flight of 7?

Will we see the 787 across the country this year? Could she be at JFK like the A380 was here before scheduled service?

The world is missing love, let's use our flights to spread it!

There is a lot of testing that's hard to do in Washington, so it's definitely going some places (Boeing have already talked about Edwards AFB, Victorville CA, Yuma AZ, plus some others I'm sure I'm forgetting).

It's possible, but I don't know why they'd go to JFK.

A test flight master thread would be great, but in saying that, one that only lists the actual flights would be much better and easier to follow, as much as I love reading about test flights I also don't want to read the 20-100 comments that will follow each announcement which turns the test flight thread into a quickly ignored thread as you waste a lot of time just trying to find the flight announcements.

Would just like to follow the flights, not the friendly commentary.

I would assume that the flight test folks video the cockpit as a matter of course; I'd also assume that there's no legimate way that video would ever find its way into the public domain (except maybe a Boeing press release somewhere down the road.)

How about the photo straight from Boeing:

It's not a physical box, it's just an application you can pull up on the displays. It looks pretty much like a flatscreen simulation of a 777 FMC.

Tom.
