Developing: DCA Closed Due To Power Outage

Seems that the TSA has stopped screening people and no outbound flights are leaving -- though planes can land at DCA.

LA Times via AP reports no flights departing and no screening
Local Media reports two lanes open on emergency power and no flights departing.

Info not exactly clear at this point:

Could this have had anything to do with the flooding from a couple of weeks ago? Seems like it's been a while already, but it could be related.

I was thinking, and just realized how lucky my best friend is. He traveled LGA-DCA-DFW on US -- yesterday. (Yes I know there are a million direct flights on AA from the New York City area, but apparently it was cheaper this way  Confused)
