Boeing has launched both the B 747-400LR as well as the B 747-400LR Freighter not long ago.

Actually, which engine manufacturers produce engines for the B 747-400LR?

Does Rolls Royce produce engines for the B 747-400LR? If not, will they?

What about P&W? I think they do. Right?

Qantas has ordered the CF6-80C2 for their B747LRs, I'm not sure about the other two.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

I think P&W does. But I am not sure about RR.

If not, then why not?

I don't think LR is the designation. ILFC has not announced their engine choice. Two of the five freighters that ILFC has ordered recently will go to Air France. So we can assume that at least two of them will be powered by the CF6. I'm sure both Royce and Pratt are offering engines for this application, but it's up to the customers to choose which engine they want.
