Will RR Produce Engines For The B 747-400LR?

As you may know, both Pratt and Whitney as well as General Electric produce engines for the B 747-400LR. But why not Rolls Royce?

Do you guys think they will ever make engines for the B 747-400LR? They really should. Coz the number of orders of the B 747-400LR is growing. And as many of you have stated, SIA is likely to order the B 747-400LR to replace some of its oldest B 747-400s in the future. I believe that they are looking into RR powered B 744LRs. Right?

So, there is a market for Rolls Royce. So do you guys think that Rolls Royce will produce engines for the B 747-400LR?

I've heard that Rolls is developing Trent 600 for future 747 and 767. This engine will be the sucessor of RB211-524G/H.

Hopefully SIA and CX can go for some RR powered B 747-400LR then.

What about P&W? What will they have for the B 747-400LR?
