hey, im hoping to sit my CPL license with instructor rating next summer. And i was wondering if any of you guys know how difficult.easy it is to get a job as a flight instructor or in general aviation. Im in UK and prepared to go anywhere in the world to work, from deepest siberia to outback Australia for a job. Do any of you know which areas are best to find work in and/or how diffucult it is to get a job?
Im hoping to go with Navair Australia or Phoenix East Florida and its a lot of money, I am just wondering if it is worth taking the risk. Thanks

Hi Sevenair,First good luck on your aviation career.Your topic took my interest because I once was a student at Phonix East,FL.What I can advice you is be very careful about choosing a flight school and DO NOT BELIEVE everything that is said on brochures.365 days sunny Florida(thunderstorms every afternoon)This effects flights very much. Its not guaranteed that you can be hired as an instructor which it depends actually if they need or not.Even if you are hired its not guaranteed you can fly everyday for the following reasons:All instructors wants to have as much students as they can have because this means you earn more money and you can log more flight time.So when you are anew instructor you cant have many students,it depends how serious your student is(some people are not after professional jobs but just for fun so they fly weekend to weekend and they count as your student too)And phoenix doesn't have too much planes but they have alot of students. So its a pain to book a plane for aflight. If you have been weathered or plane is down for maint, sometimes you can't find a new place at the schedule for as long as 1 week because its all booked in advance, the school doesn't have enough checkpilots for your students so when you send someone for a checkride he's off for at least 3 weeks from you waiting in the que for a checkride and all the above reasons.
And my advice to you never pay everything at advance.Because until you pay they are the most friendly people once you pay it you don't have any right to complain because its"nonrefundable"
