Singapore Airlines A330 To Middle East+South Asia

Airbus will take over 777-200 route to Abu Dhabi-Jeddah from March 28, according to airline route blog.

In South Asia it replaces 777 in Male, Colombo and Dhaka.

That's a really good news - at least for me.

The current B772s that are sent for this route are of the 9V-SR* series variant, which feature 30 J seats and 293 Y seats = 323 pax.

The new A333s have 30 J seats and 255 Y seats = 285 pax.

While there seems to be a decline in capacity being offered, the quality of the hardwares improved tremendously, which may results in better yield for SQ.
