In a recent press report, Oman Air has stated that it is planning to launch flights from Muscat to Kuala Lumpur after receiving 2 further new A330s. It is hoped that these flights will begin operating mid 2010.
Good news for KUL, especially with Emirates' continued growth and Qatar operating the larger 77W in 2010.
It is also rumoured that Malaysia Airlines may be planning to serve Damascus. Other routes mooted include Riyadh and Kuwait (a return), although it is likely MAS will continue to code-share with Etihad to AUH and Qatar to Doha for the time being.
