Hello everyone,
Tomorrow in Mexico City, a 100 year flight celebration will take place.
A Boeing Stearman PT-17, XB-POY in command of Jorge Cornish and Héctor Dávila will do a fly by over Mexico City tomorrow, at 11:00a.m. departing Mexico City Airport flying then really as low as possible over:
-Boluevard Puerto Aéreo then turning to:
-Fray Servando Teresa de Mier (My street uhu!!)
Here's where all started, back to January 8th of 1910 when Alberto Braniff took off for the very first time out from "Balbuena's fields".
After FST de Mier, the plane will fly over:
-Pino Suárez
On it's way to La Plaza De La Constitución and do a 360 over there flying over Palacio Nacional.
-Then it will head to Avenida Reforma
-It will do a very low pass by as possible and then it will gain altitude to fly over Chapultepec and La Torre Mayor near the 54th floor where more spotters will be there.
-It will do a 360 and later on head back to Toluca where that plane is kept.
I'll be tomorrow at La Torre Lationamericana. The plane will be escorted by some kind of chopper, I don't know which one. So we we'll see two birds flying tomorrow really low over Mexico City. Take your cameras out!
Most probably, more things are to come... I can't say more, but all airlines in an effort, by request of Mexico's SCT will have to put a logo..........

I hope they do that (the logo), that'd be pretty cool.
I did read about that on eluniversal.com.mx.. Mr. Brannif took of 100 years ago from a small improvised landing stip. Can't even imagine what that "runway" looked like???
check out these seals that I was looking at, juct click on the + to enlarge

Flight will take place tomorrow as we had very bad weather last 8th. So, to everyone, I'm sorry to update you this late, but I've been very busy lately.
I'll be tomorrow @ La Torre Latinoamericana. Hope to see one of you guys there!
