Hi guys,
the Ruhr metropolitan area in Western Germany has been named European Capital of Culture 2010. As a promotive measure, Air Berlin will put special stickers on 54 of its aircraft, with 53 of those also carrying the name of a city in the Ruhr area.

I think it's a great idea. I frequently visit the Ruhr area (mostly Essen and Bottrop, though I absolutely love Dusseldorf) and definitely plan to go this year for the 2010 Cultural events.

By the way, is there any reason why AB did this, and not LH?
I'm guessing that the fact that they bought DUS-based LTU might have something to do with it. Either that or they outbid LH to become the "official" airline of the event.
