Qatar Airways stated that it expects to recieve the first of its 787s by September 2011, and expects to recieve 3 of the 787s in 2011, but will "push Boeing" to deliever more.

Is there any indication of plans for the aircraft - initial routes, or configuration?

Will QR start phasing out the A330-200 once the 787 starts to arrive?

Also, while writing, I thought the A340-600 should have gone by now? Any idea when this acft is leaving the fleet?

The 330 will be old planes (by QR standards) when 787 arrives, so most likely it will replace some of those.
As for 340, they were recently reconfigured, so expect them to stay few more years.I would say they are the first to leave the fleet when 787 arrives.

I would think the 777-300ER would be replacing the A340-600, but perhaps QR wants to keep them around until the A350XWB-1000's arrive.
