I have seen a photo of the BG 772 (ex 9V-SRA) in the new BG livery, but with a Portuguese registration, as the acft will be operated by EuroAtlantic Airlines.
Does anyone know why this is? When EuroAtlantic last operated for another airline - TAAG of Angola - it was because that airline had been banned from the EU, but Biman (as far as I'm aware) have not been banned.
Can anyone shed more light on this? Perhaps it's an insurance requirement on the lessor's part (perhaps they don't want the acft to be on the S2- register, in case it needs to be repossessed?)

Any chance to post this photo here? I'd be curious to see the livery on the 777.
Also, I assume a lot of people are keen to find out if/when the 777 eventually takes over the DC-10 routes. I got a lot of feedback on my BG DC-10 trip report I posted 3 weeks ago from people who wanted to ride the DC-10 one last time.
It does look a lot like CX, with the green, the red stripe and the bird on the tail that looks quite like a brushwing. I'm guessing the similarity will end when you get on board (not just because BG will have decent J Class seats )
