I think the AA crash is still under investigation so I am sure the pilots are not back on flying duties yet

sorry KIN BTW have heard from a AA pilot that conditions were less than great. The runway was never scored, ie. slick, the ILS is not to center and only in 1 direction,(not the one that should have been used) and it was raining like hell with a 10K tail wind...If this is true why would an airline opertate into a substandard airport...asking for trouble? We (EA) flew in for years...another route AA sucked up after we left........

Apparently the crew decided to go ahead and land on rwy 12 despite being advised of the tailwind.
"Air Traffic Control offered a circling approach to runway 30 in order to land in a headwind, the crew however declined and elected to land on runway 12 with a tailwind of 14 knots. The captain was pilot flying and used a head up display during the approach. ATC advised, that the runway was wet."

I wouldn't read too much into this unless you know what the circling minimums are for that runway, and if you know American's policy on circling approaches.
