DL/NW Hawaii A330 Service

Can someone validate that DL is allowing use of the personal IFE systems on the A330s from MSP to HNL? When you look at the flight on the DL site it says that there is not any Inflight Entertainment option. Is that correct, or do they allow use of the systems?

Yes, the 330s used to HNL have fully functioning IFE, exactly as you'd find it on an international flight. Even all the planes without AVOD still have some sort of IFE.

That is what I thought, but I just wanted to make sure before I put a 5 year old on a 9 hour flight without IFE.

It also says clearly on the NW website that all domestic flights otherwise do not have IFE. At least on NW metal.

Which of course was untrue when I flew MSP-LAX on a 753 and had IFE... Wink

I assumed the A330s did, as they are the same tail numbers that I used to commute back and forth to Cranfield (London) on, but the wording on delta.com is very misleading.

Exactly CALMSP...I understand corporate secrets and all but good grief. I think there's more subterfuge in a Dan Brown novel than with this mythical route pair. But hey, we fell for it right?
