Earlier today an ERJ from AM's regional carrier Aeromexico Connect with 36 people on board skid off the runway during landing, no reports of injuries just some nervous breakdowns from passengers that had to be taken to the hospital. Airport was closed for about 1 hour but after that regular operations started again.

I am in Tijuana right now,
Came in this morning on flight 170. Flight time was 4 hours from Mexico City due to strong winds enroute bad weather on the area.
Boy I did feel a hard landing, winds were completly crossed I checked my phone for the NOAA weather report and MMTJ was reporting winds out of 30KT. We took the entire runway to break and it was very very wet. I did feel the hardest landing I've ever experienced.
After we landed I had to wait 2 hours for a partner whose flight got diverter to HMO. I watched some big time crazy serious crosswind landings on that time as rain started to strike heavily.
Hope weather improves for tomorrow... who wants to be late back home..

Thank God it wasn't a 777, that would have been a accident of another magnitude.
