KLM605 AMS-SFO, an MD-11, diverted to OAK and spent about 3 hours on the ground.
VIR19 LHR-SFO, an A346, diverted to OAK and spent about 2.5 hours on the ground.
UAE225 DXB-SFO, a 773W, diverted to OAK and also spent about 3 hours on the ground.
All departed for the other side of the bay around 4:30.
Anyone familiar with OAK operations know that aircraft of these size are extraordinarily rare with the exception of KLM's MD11 as FedEx has a large base here. Fittingly, they were parked in front of United's old MX hanger.

What happened to the PAX? Were they allowed to deplane? If not, that must have been hell. Especially for the EK passengers who just endured a LONG flight.

From what I saw on the news, they had stairs at each doorway to air out the cabin but based on where they parked the aircraft, it doesn't look like they went anywhere. Additionally, I can't think of any place where they'd hold all of those passengers who had not been processed by Customs/TSA.

Interesting diversions - thanks for the news! In such a situation, who handles these flights? Who is responsible for them on the ground?

The end of this video mentions the three diversions and shows video of the EK 77W at OAK.

My apologies, after viewing the video it looks like they were parked along the GA ramp. Hangar 6 is just after Kaiser's hot spots.
Not sure where else they stacked up the other two aircraft as they could not all fit in that one area. Regardless, that left turn from the foot of 27R onto the GA taxiway/ramp must have been TIGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHTTTTT given that a 773ER is 213ft wide.
