Air Europe will start this year service to Miami, Panama and

All the routes will be operated by A330, this is a new competitor for IB in the markets and UX is not Air Madrid or Air Comet........ and they don´t want to talk about the possibility to purchase the Air Comet routes.........but I think they will fight IB for some of them.....

UX will start Zurich and Asturias (3 daily) from Madrid.....

In an interview with the CEO he told that they want to add 2 more A330 and more new long haul destinations will arrive........maybe ex-Air comet planes???

link in spanish, sorry about that...

Please, not confuse Air Europe (in Italy) with Air Europa, the airline you are talking about...

When are scheduled the start of operations to OVD and ZRH?

Apart of it, great news to see another airline flying to PTY. Last year saw the M11's of KLM and now we will see the UX A330's...

Regards,

Gerard

Yes mate, My mistake.......

they will start Asturias on 1st of June 2010 and Zurich 30th of June (E190) 2x day, altough they didn´t advertise a lot....

UX1061 MAD-ZRH 07:45-09:25 UX1062 ZRH-MAD 10:25-12:45
UX1063 MAD-ZRH 17:45-20:00 UX1064 ZRH-MAD 20:45-23:05

UX will add 5 E190 and 1 or 2 A330 this year to the fleet and 2 b737 will leave, so more new destinations are coming........AMS is almost for sure a new destination, not yet oficial...

Too bad COPA has pulled out of Skyteam... there would have been many connection opportunities in Panama.

That's great. I am glad. UX is turning MAD into a nice SkyTeam hub. I really want to try UX soon. Any chance they may consider starting flights to PRG or IST?

I know. AM and KL, however, have not dropped their codeshare agreements with CM. Well, not too sure about KL, but I know AM has not.

Next flights: MEX-GRU (AM 77E), GRU-GIG (JJ A320), SDU-CGH (G3 73H), GRU-MEX (JJ A332).

Hi, Eddie. I confirm KL still has its codeshare in place with CM. KL/CM codeshare is doing very well and will continue.

Rgs,

And how much have they reduced their punte areo flights since the high speed train started operations ? It must give them a few airplanes they have to find new flights for, is it not ?

What is Air Europe like? Last x-mas they had cheap fares from NYC via MAD but I ended up flying with AA because all the reviews I read online about Air Europe were of nightmarish experiences such as rude FA's, bad onboard service, cramped seats, etc.

Well I have flown them a few times and found the service far better
than Iberia.
Had heard in the past that they planned on a fleet of 10 E195's so
looks like this may now happen.

cheers

from the Island with sun and great photo's.. Why not visit Lanzarote

Just to have PTV's in all A330 fleet is better than Iberia A340 fleet.

My experience with them had the two extremes. One very rude F/A and one very nice..

Quoting EddieDude (Reply 4):

I like them and will definitely use them for my flights to MAD from MIA. The only thing that sucks is that I have my miles with AZ and since my flight in December and they haven't posted them yet into my AZ account.

When are the 767s going to be retired? I assume MAD-CUN is still a 767 route.

Supposed to be retired this year when the new A330's will be added to the UX fleet.

Santo Domingo sees 767 operations twice a week; Punta Cana sees, too, 767 four times a week.
Cancun is now served with A330;

Gerard
