Quote: MAS GMR Aerospace Engineering Company, the 50:50 JV between GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd and Malaysian Aerospace Engineering, today signed a memorandum of understanding with Jet Airways for providing heavy maintenance services of the airline's entire fleet.
The company also signed MoUs with Malaysia Airports Consultancy Services (MACS) for commercial development of the Hyderabad Airport and with Asia Pacific Flight Training Sdn.

These MoUs were signed in the presence of Malaysian Prime Minister Mohd Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak here.
MAS GMR Aerospace Engineering Company will provide exclusive heavy maintenance services to Jet Airways fleet over the next ten years in Hyderabad at the upcoming MRO facility.
The MoU with Asia Pacific Flight Training is for setting up of ab-initio flight training center in partnership with Jeppesen India, a Boeing subsidiary.
Great news .... not long ago SpiceJet also signed similar agreement but for 3 years, while the 9W agreement is for 10 years.
Cannot wait to see the Dreamliner in AI's livery. That'll be one majestic bird Any idea when 9W is expected to take deliveries of theirs? They desperately need planes that size. Its a perfect fit!

This deal also impacts the AI MRO planned at NAG. If most of the country's 737's are being worked on at HYD this works tremendously to the advantage of GHIAL's plans of making HYD India's MRO hub. Will 9W's 330's and 777's also have heavy work done at this facility and from what I read earlier the facility will start with only C checks but as some of 9W's fleet of 737's are nearing D-checks (the 737-400's for example) will D-checks also happen at HYD?

Spice's deal is only for 3 years. If in the mean time AI's facility in NAG is up and running Spice may look to them. AI have 18 737s of their own.
Wasn't Boeing going to invest in the MRO in NAG, i thought that was part of the entire AI fleet deal...?

On the Jet Airways website, under About us --> Fleet Information --> A332, they have seat diagrams of three different layouts on the A332, with the footnote "Includes aircraft that have been wet leased / dry leased to other airlines."
My question is, would anyone be able to tell me which of these configurations is currently used on the BOM-BRU and DEL-BRU-EWR sectors? When I flew on 9W 2 years ago, it was just the config with the new herringbone structure Biz class.....but now there are two additional layout there....so, which one is used on flights to the US and Canada?

The site has not been updated. The wet leased aircrafts are gone, now all of 9W's A332s are owned. So all of them have the new J class, herringbone structure.
