Does this suggest they're planning to keep the 332s for longer than planned?

I interpret this as such. But that is my guess.

Quoting QatarA340 ( Thread starter): The solution is extended to provide full audio-video on demand (AVOD) capabilities in premium classes allowing for the removal of in-seat video cassette players.
I'm confused! In Oct 09 I flew EK DXB- VCE- DXB in Y on an A332 both ways and both aircraft had AVOD, perhaps not absolutely identical to that in the B77Ws, but close enough.

It wasnt AVOD! The channels and radio frequencies are fixed, however, you can choose to play games, watch TV, OR send email. But certainly not AVOD.

Now this sucks.
I always fly a A332 and miss the AVOD.
I really wanted them to have AVOD. [Edited 2010-01-24 04:00:45 by jayeshrulz]
Keep flying, because the sky is no limit!

To further clarify, that means you can start/stop the movie of your choice at any time, pause the movie and rewind and fast forward.
