In terms of domestic routes:
- Qantas starts an all new CBR-DRW-CBR on Monday 1 Feb 3x weekly with 73H.
- Tiger are also starting MEL,ADL,ROK-BNE
- Skywest are re-starting PER-KGI-MEL, this time with A320 (starts initially as F100 until A320 delivered)
- Rex starts TSV-ISA non-stop and some of the multi-stop subsidised regional Qld routes
On the international front, Strategic are planning to start BNE-DPS shortly. There's also been talk of both Air Asia and Silk Air to DRW from DPS and SIN respectively and also Cebu Pacific from MNL or CRK to SYD or MEL possibly via CNS.

Nit picking I know, but these aren't new routes, they have been flown since World War II, at least. They are new for DJ, granted, but they are also contract routes, paid for by the Dept of Territories (whatever it's name these days) under some subsidy formulae. I serriously doubt they would ever be fully commerical routes. DJ will fly them until they loose the contract, then somebody else will fly them.
