I don't know whether this has been posted before, I have been searching a little while on the forum without success, but I think it'd be worth speaking about it. Apologizes in advance if this results to be a duplicate of another topic.

New Ryanair lounge for Stansted
A new lounge has opened for passengers flying with Ryanair out of Stansted airport.
The No.1 Traveller lounge, which costs £17.50 per visit, has a bistro, fully-tended bar and business facilities – printing, fax and scanning facilities are available.
The lounge, which can seapt up to 50 people, also offers free UK landline calls, free wi-fi internet access, newspapers, magazines, board games and televisions to watch.
It is located opposite Gate 49 on Satellite 3, where most Ryanair international flights depart from, and is the second No.1 Traveller lounge to open at the airport.
No.1 Traveller is owned by British theatre producer Phil Cameron. Commenting on the launch of the new lounge, he said: "Stansted is a major airport, with discerning passengers, creating their own travel itineraries.
What do you think about it? I think this might be quite an innovation for FR. Sadly, though, I couldn't find any pictures of it, but I hope its forniture's colours will be less bright than those you find on FR's 738.

I'm not sure it's anything specifically to do with FR, unless they own the pier at STN and arerenting out the space to the lounge company. On the other hand, I used the "other" No 1 Lounge at STN a couple of weeks ago and was impressed with the offering. Given STN's layout with the piers, a kind of "pay as you go" lounge at the FR pier could do well, especially if FR coordinate with the lounge to offer priority boarding...

I'd doubt this has very little if anything to do with Ryanair and is just a facilty being offered to passengers if they want to escape the chaos of the Ryanair crowds at STN.
The lounge is probably being focused at these passengers as this is where the majority of Ryanair flights depart and the airline may try and offer the service through their website and make commission if they sell tickets to the lounge...
EasyJet has done this for a while and offers third party "executive" lounges through their website and make a small amount of commision. Usually they are operated by ground handling companies like Aviance and Servisair at UK regional airports.

For some Ryanair destinations from Stansted, Ryanair is the only choice.
It would be interesting what food is available; £17.50 is a little expensive but could be worth while if you have a few hours to waste before your flight. Stansted does have wifi avaialble for purchase.
Will be interesting to see if Ryanair are partly involved so they can get their share of the profit and try and flog it on the website.

It is NOT to do with Ryanair, as in FR are NOT financing it or operating it or whatever. No. 1 Lounges presently has a lounge at STN that is not in an area that FR pax can use due to FR operating from a different area. This lounge will be located where FR operate, hence can be used by FR pax.

If your food and some drinks are included then £17.50 sounds ok, if you're paying that to sit down I can't see the point to be homest.

Like I said, I used the other No 1 lounge a couple of weeks ago, before a business trip to Munich on U2.
For your £17.50 I got:
- a buffet of breakfast items: cereals, fruits, pastries, yoghurts, juices
- a hot item, choice of eggs benedict or bacon roll
- sofas
- newspapers and magazines
- TVs
- the bar, with free alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks (a bit early for me - I had a pot of tea) (you have to pay for cocktails)
I didn't check to see if wifi was included, not did I see if there were showers etc in the toilet.

who ever wrote this article is lying as the only lounges are located in satalite 1 and ryanair operate mainly from satalite 3 and sometimes 2. the only way ryanair passengers will use this lounge and to still make their flights is to purposly go the wrong way and being personally driven over to their flights. i hardly see ryanair waiting for them to come from the lounge to make their flights so that will be a lot and i mean A LOT of pax missing their flights and encuring huge re-booking charges. Maybe thats what ryanair are after, the revenue from missed flights/rebooking charges? either way it is bad to advertise this to ryanair passengers, its like being a BA pax having their flight from T5 and having the lounge at T1, it just wont work.

Actually second thought... It opens at 4AM and my flight is at 6:25... with the fact that I normally get to the FR gate pretty darn early, I doubt the lounge will really be that worth it... oh well, maybe next time!

No, they are not 'lying'. As already pointed out, this is a new lounge that has just opened in satellite three, and I have seen it with my own eyes. A quick read of the quoted source would instantly inform one of the actual situation under discussion.
