ALC
REU
BOD
FAO
LRH
ACE
AGP

Temporarily (June, July, August) basing 1 extra 738 at ORK to operate these new routes. The plan is to then cut these summer-based routes and redeploy the aircraft elsewhere.

While Ryanair say this move is to provide capacity after budget Travel close last year in both Cork and Dublin airports the real reason I suspect is to stop Aer Lingus from gaining more passengers at both airports. It was only a few years ago that Ryanair gave in to not adding extra capacity at Dublin because Aer Lingus had started quite a few European routes from Dublin airport. What happened the rant about the €10 travel tax !!!!!

It gives EI real competition on higher-density summer routes - like ALC, AGP and FAO - and offers people lower fares. And then rather than sticking around operating these summer-based routes during the off-seasons, it will redeploy its asset. Sounds sensible to me...
