Try www.bird.ch/bharms/asr_sho00.htm
This is Bill Harms' excellent website on the Big Four aircraft builders, plus the Concorde. This site will tell which 747s have been scrapped, written off or simply out of service. Hope this helps. Regards.

I agree, Bill Harms website (though not a milestone in web-design) is very reliable when it comes to aircraft status (I found very few mistakes. One example: Cameroon´s 747, damaged whilst landing at CDG last year, has not been broken up yet. I saw it last week there).

Plus: its updated every month!

I think the correct URL shd be http://www.bird.ch/bharms/asr_sh00.htm, or as depicted in the link published by FBWless. Or you can just type http://www.bird.ch/bharms and it'll redirect.

The mailing list option is an excellent thing - Bill will notify you (if you sign up) as and when he make chages to his site - usually once a month. And, sometimes he send you "extras" directly too - like the list of abbreviations he's used in his list.

I think the web design is simple, short and sweet. Nothing fancy really (as Na said), but still pretty good.

Enjoy!

And Bill (Harms), if you happpen to see this thread too, excellent work! Kepp it up!
