Stopped by Signature today and saw a few sports charters.

Dalls Mavs 75 was here. There was an MD-80 as well but I couldn't check the reg. And away from the flightline in United's (?) ramp, was N717TW.

Few questions here:

Does anyone know the reg of the MD and what it was brining to the Bay Area.
Was N717TW associated to any charters or was it at SFO for DL flights?

And most importantly, why do sports teams keep coming to SFO??

There is plenty of ramp space for a couple of jets at two of the FBOs at OAK and, for anyone who hasn't been to OAK, it's literally across the 8 lane freeway from the court they're going to play on. I'd think that they'd want to try to support the city they're going to go and play in and at the very least, for logistical reasons, try to keep it close to where they're playing given that they need to book it to Denver for a game the next night.

Maybe there's logic there I just don't see.
