Due to the storm heading for NYC, CO has suspended all operations at EWR except for:

CO 83 DEL-EWR
CO 91 TLV-EWR
CO 49 BOM-EWR

Should be a fun day tomorow.

CO is keeping those 777's moving. Why are these the only flights leaving?

I believe these are arrivals. All three flights arrive very early in the morning between 4:30 and 5 AM. So handling these arrivals shouldnt be a problem.

You wonder if they would run extra sections through CLE for several flights to try to keep pax moving

All three are morning arrivals. The snow is supposed to be at it's worst around noon or afterwards with high winds and blizzard conditions. We got the word to get ready for winter ops, and get out all of tonites flights asap. I for one would not want to be stuck in a airport tomorrow, that's or sure.
Nothing else coming in or going out till Thursday.
Supposed to be a lot of snow (between 12 to 18 inches). We'll see what happens

CLE operating ontime and smoothly this AM...realize "mother nature" is to blame here but have to think CO is leaving money on table because of the desire to load up in EWR and not smooth out doemstic operations by fully utilizing CLE on a daily bais.

I understand that CO is trying to be preemptive here and avoid scheduling disasters, but wouldn't it be better not to strand the early morning's bank of passengers? If the snow is to be worst around noon, couldn't they at least get the people scheduled on the 6AM-8AM bank out? I'm not sure this makes sense to me, if someone feels like clarifying...
