Today (09 FEB) at SEA, I saw a very odd WN flight on the departure screens. It showed WN8503 operating from Sea-Tac to Paine Field at 1:00PM from one of the B gates. Why would WN have a scheduled flight from SEA to PAE?

Probably a ferry flight to SEA from PAE (does WN get some Mx done at PAE?). When I transited SEA enroute from PDX to FAI on my numerous trips to University, I would occasionally see what you saw. I believe it has also been discussed way back when, though I am too lazy to search for it and it is nearly bedtime.

Prosper!

Since it is the computers for WN, it shows up on the screens at SEA. Also, it helps the crews that may fly in from another destination find their airplane so they can take it up to PAE. And yes, it's a ferry flight for maintenance.

One smooth landing is skill. Two in a row is luck. Three in a row and someone is lying.

Yes. Specifically, at ATS at the south end of the field.

I suspected it was either a ferry flight or someone at WN had put in the wrong airport code. If the FIDS in SEA is tied into WN's computer system, then I can see how the flight appeared. Thanks for the answer!

Yes...Goodrich at PAE does maintenance, upgrades and sometimes paint.
