Hey all!
I will soon perform a trip to South-America and I´m interested which smaller carriers are operating in Colombia, Pera, Equador, Venezuela and Brazil. Especailly data about their fleets and future fleets (rumours?) are appreciated, a small bite about their history isn´t bad at all. Any help would be great!

Hello,
A couple of spelling mistakes: the correct are Peru and Ecuador.
Precisely in Peru you have Aviandina (727-100), TANS (737, F28), LAN Peru (737) and Aerocontinente (737, 727-100, F28). In Ecuador Tame is the main domestic carrier, flying 727-100 and 727-200.

Also of note, Varig offers one-stop, sam-plane service TO Belem and non-stop service FROM Belem, Brazil. Varig also offers one-stop, same place service to and from Fortazela, Brazil via Manaus while American offers same-plane, one-stop service to and from Belo Horizonte (via I think Sao Paulo).

As far as Colombia is concerned some of the airlines that operate are Avianca, Aces, Aires, Saetena, and AeroRepublica, and SAM (which is owned by Avianca)
On domestic routes Avianca operates MD-80s and Fokker 50s. Aces operates mostly 727s and ATR42s. Aires operates Dash 8s. Aero Republica operates DC-9s.
