Biman Bangladesh Airlines has petitioned the DOT for authority to resume services to the United States which were discontinued in 2006.

The carrier plans to offer twice-weekly servicing over a DAC-MAN-NYC routing utilizing wet-lease EuroAtlantic Airways 777-200ER during mid-2010.

I am very tempted to buy a dirt cheap BG ticket from LHR to DAC. Any ideas on how the J class is on their "new" 777's? Also, how do I buy a United Bangladesh ticket on LGW to DAC?

Thanks,
A.

You might think this would succeed-there's a big Bangladeshi community here in NYC-but considering that this community doesn't have the economic power to travel home nearly as much as some other communities here, as well as the opportunities to connect on BA and the Gulf carriers....could Biman make a profit?

Should be pretty much the same seat as SQ's regional J class unless they changed the seats. Looking forrward to another trip report from you !

= Let's see if I make it. Though, I don't know if I'd like those seats for a 9 hour flight! Since you are the authority on the 777, we sure its the old regional J and not the Raffles bed?

Saludos,
A.

CS-TFM is ex-9V-SRA which is a former SQ regional 777 to think they would have had the old J class seat from SQ but it's possible that BG changed the seats after they recieved the aircraft.
