Error In Air India Ad?

Air India is running an ad on a DC radio station talking about their service to DEL. It's a nice ad (it almost makes to want to go to India), but it states that the plane used is a "777-MR".

I've heard of 777-ER, but not "MR". Is this a mistake? I'v'e heard this a couple of times and I'm sure it says "MR".

Has anyone else heard this ad?

Are you sure he's not saying "LR" and the beginning of the letter L (ell) sounds like the start of the letter M (emm)? Could it be the accent?

I don't think so. I've heard it a couple of times and it sounds like "MR" to me. The next time the ad comes on I'll turn the radio up a bit to confirm this.

So, is the voice in the ad that of an Indian person or is it an American...? I agree, if it's an Indian voice, some of the pronunciations are different from what you're used to out there....

This could be it because AI flies the 777-200LR to IAD from JFK and back...

This then continues on to DEL or BOM from JFK - the average public won't care what type of aircraft they're flying on, and a 77L vs 772 wouldn't mean much if they did.

Glad to see they are advertising it - problem is JFK-BOM and JFK-DEL are always full, so pax counts for IAD-JFK are below what their goal was of 30-40pax, but at least they establish themselves at IAD then will start IAD-DEL (not via JFK) in June.
