Saudia 737 / MD90 And South Asia

Why didnt SV use the 737-200 and MD90 to Pakistan and India, they will be bringing in the A320 to India from July, since its a replacement aircraft with same capacity as the MD why werent they used in the subcontinent as well.

Gulf Air used their 737s to the region.
