Was wondering why there was a DL 744 parked at YOW today, it was showing as flight 4027 from DTW. Any Ideas?

That can't be the correct flight number. Flight 4027 is a CRJ operated by Pinnacle (routing ROA-DTW-YOW) which arrived YOW more or less on time.

Is there a deployment scheduled of replacement Canadian Forces over to Afghanistan? DAL/(actually NW ) seem to have done these types of charters in the past although I think it was with the 742's since retired.

DL8956 arrived at 1603 from VCV... probably a US military charter.

Scheduled departure back to VCV as DL8821

These are all military charters returning troops from training in the Southern California desert (Victorville/SoCal Logistics).

My roommates dad was the captain of this flight, it was a medical diversion.

A DL 747-400 was also recently operating a military charter out of YFC in New Brunswick. Now THAT was a rare occasion for that airport!

15 minutes after it took off that day, another DL plane arrived to YOW from VCV, this time it was an A333 (N821NW)

The B744 in question two days ago, yesterday and today (26 Feb) is N665US.
